Sandal time!
I’ve been making myself a pair of sandals every summer for the past couple of years. Here are this years, I used scraps of oilskin for the uppers. I used an knife, an awl, waxed linen thread, atom wax, a bone slicker, barge and cut layered vegetaI tanned leather soles to make these. I still prefer to wear the very first ones I made, with their uneven edges and crooked stitches they are the most comfortable and have aged so nicely! I’ll show you them sometime
Today calls for crazy heat, feeling like 50?!? I propose barefoot horizontal waterfront hangouts all weekend long!
they look amazing Mariel!
