Thank the heavens for Transgaming’s Cider. Finally theres a way to play Windows games in OS X. Since Cider’s release some years ago, users have been able to port their own games easily by editing an existing Cider based game. In this case it’s usually hit or miss. Older games tend to be the most compatible to port. Well, not anymore. Modern Warfare 2, a brand new game, can now be easily be played in OS X using Cider. I’m sure you’re asking yourself how it’d look. Well, you’ll be amazed to find out it runs just as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare did and that was a native mac port!

:o Well I know what I’m downloading tonight :) I haven’t touched video games for months, but all of a sudden I have a recent game I can actually play on my laptop without having to reboot into windows for, and a ps3 in the studio to test the project we’re working on. Life’s hard.
